Our Mission
We strive to form a link of information and value between growers and end users. The final product can be changed the quickest at the production level and so we strive to place the burden of innovation on the farming community. This creates the best product for processors and end users and brings the highest value to the farmer.
What We Do
Farm Strategy works to create ingredient supply chains with 3 core tenants:
- Farmers as ingredient suppliers
- Input suppliers as solution providers
- Grain assets executing and continuing the story
How We Do It
- Rigorous sampling of grain being harvested
- Proper testing to line up with industry needs
- Database of every variable so that we can understand production differences
- Connection to markets
History
Farm Strategy started on a tractor seat thinking through the question, “how do I solve the problems that my customers face?” This led Andrew to do a series of interviews with end users to figure out the different needs and issues they were having within their system.
By understanding what caused pain in the industry and then tinkering on the family farm to see if it could be solved, a business model started to take shape.
As Farm Strategy grew some truths became apparent: 1) to do anything in the market, an excellent leadership team and board would be required, and 2) the model needed to grow within the current system.
These truths became reality when Farm Strategy entered into an agreement with Central Valley Ag, AgMark LLC, and CoMark Equity Alliance along with Elevar Resources.
Better the future of grain
Producer Wheat Program
If you as a producer are to become an ingredient supplier then you must:
What this looks like for a producer
Farm Strategy conducts a very specific program around wheat and tries to source that wheat based off of whole grain analysis as well as milling and baking data.
Once signed up for this program, you will receive a sampling kit that you will use to collect a sample from every truck as it goes into storage. Those samples are returned to Farm Strategy where they are analyzed. These test results are all logged into a database in order to help market the grain better as well as improve subsequent crops.
We cannot guarantee that we will always have the best bid for you, but we can guarantee that you will get a bid based upon what you have and that you should be able to make better decisions next year. We are not looking for the one-year, but the five-year relationship…where we can actually bring the market to you. Please get in touch with us to learn more.
”The Communication of Demand from an End User of a product is the single greatest piece of market information a grower needs.
For The End User
The farmer is by far the greatest influence on his grain. Creating a system in which your needs and pain points become the influence of production decisions and on-farm innovation will provide an alignment the market has yet to see.
Farm Strategy also understands that producing the grain is only a part of the story. That’s why we have created relationships to make sure that your whole supply chain can be executed on and delivered to you in proper fashion.
